Auditing & Accounting Services: We are a full service accounting practice catering to the audit and accounting needs of a diversified clientele including medical services, computer consulting services, construction, small manufacturing, retail. One of our specialties is our health center accounting and auditing assignments-performance of financial and compliance audit. Preparation & certification of Medicaid Cost Report, Medicare Cost Report, preparation of FSR for various USDHHS grants. The audits are conducted in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards issued by the Comptroller General of the United States, under OMBA- 133, Audits of Institutions of Higher Education and Other Non-Profit Organization. These engagement are Government Audit Standards performed using the Guidelines for Audits of Federal Awards to non-profit organization issued by the office of inspector general, department of health and human services in April 1989. As to the managed care consulting, we have taken a lot of interest and involvement in this area. We prepare cost studies and projected income statements for the clients to negotiate the rate with managed care entities. At present, we are working with a client in developing a prepaid health service(PHSP) in conjunction with a local area hospital. This work gave us an excellent opportunity to be involved in the networking of services with our clients and other service organizations. However, our service was largely as accountant in evaluating proposals and cost study and analysis of financial projection. As we stated before, we also prepare AHCF-1 and other cost reports such as Medicare cost reports,FSR,PMS,UDS for the health centers. For a number of clients, we prepare financial reports for Banks, Insurance Companies and for internal use, including compilation and review services. We are also listed in the Panel of the city of New York Comptroller’s list of Prequalified CPA Firms and specialize in the audits of city funded community service programs. Tax Services: We specialize in tax planning and preparation for our clients. We prepare tax returns such as income tax returns 1120,1120S,1065, 1041, 1040 for federal tax purposes. State returns prepare by us include CT3, CT4,CT3S,CT4S, IT204,and IT201. Payroll tax returns prepared by us include W3, 941,etc. For federal and WT-4 we also prepare Sales Tax, Estate and Gift Tax returns and do regularly represent clients before the IRS and other tax authorities. We represent our clients before Internal Revenue Service and State tax authorities. Management Consulting: This includes all kinds of services regarding profitability analysis, investment analysis and project evaluation. We have been called upon to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of a new accounting program and help clients prepare manual accounting. We also provide litigation support services. We are also involved with a number of article 28 start-ups in the Brooklyn area. We prepare the business plan for the start-ups. Health Care Management Advisory Services: The firm has a high degree of specialty in non-profit health center accounting. We presently give all kinds of accounting ,cost reporting, government reporting services to our health center clients in the area. We are called on occasion over the telephone for problems in accounting and reporting matters. We prepare Medicare cost reports, Medicaid cost reports(AHCF-1 for New York State), financial status reports,UDS reports and help prepare responses to audit, if any, to USDHHS or any other authority. We work as a team with the health center client, keeping our independence as outside accounts. Management Advisory Services: Experience consultants in our management advisory services (MAS) department have the depth of knowledge necessary to serve clients in a wide range of areas, such as profit planning and controls, problem solving, organization and administration, accounting systems and support, tax support,litigation support, and personal financial planning.
